Fireworks in Shizuoka in July [Event Information]

画像(310x232)・拡大画像(640x480)

It’s been quite a long time since I posted the last article. You know what I’m engaged in recently ? I work for the international education trip for students. What is it ? It’s a kind of school exchange that is to be made between a school in Shizuoka and one from abroad, mostly from Taiwan. I stand between them to arrange requests or problems from each side to create a better memories for students ! Good job, isn’t it ?^^ Here is one of the pictures that tells how happy they looked. If you are a teacher who has been thinking of international school exchange with Japanese students, please feel free to contact me ♪

Now, here is the information about fireworks in Shizuoka in July. I feel so sorry for myself not to be able to spare time for posting this kind of information on the website. No posting last month……awful……maybe I should reflect on my own everyday task.^^;

Thank you for your inquiry !
Unfortunately, there is no major fireworks in Fujinomiya but on Aug 4, they’ll have an interesting traditional festival called “Gojinka Matsuri” that is to parade with floats around Sengen Taisha Shrine and at the end of the festival, they shoot fireworks to tell people to finish the festival.
Now, as for Mt.Fuji climbing, if you are physically strong enough, you might be able to return to the 5th on the same day but if you are not accustomed to climbing mountains, I don’t recommend it. You need to stay on the 5th at least 2 hours to get your body accustomed to the pressure, 5 – 7 hours to reach the top and 2 – 3 hours to get back to the 5th.
Speaking of finding sunrise, the best station is, needless to say, the summit, but sunrise can be seen upper than 7th so if you don’t have time enough, you don’t have to get all the way to the summit.
Or if you take the Gotemba trail, you can see the sunrise from every station.
Today, I update more information about Mt. Fuji climbing. Please take a look !

Have a good day !^^

Hello Nihonyanagi san,

Where do I view the fireworks in Fujinomiya? Also, is it possible to maybe climb Mt. Fuji from the 5th station and back down to view the fireworks on the same day?

Also, which station is the best to climb up from if we plan on view the sunrise along the hike?

Thank you!!
