The warm wind from Suruga Bay is cooled as it passes over the plateau, and fog (Japanese: Kiri/Giri) often forms in the mornings (Japanese: Asa) and evenings of summer, hence the name Asagiri Highland. The scenery of green meadows, cows, and Mt. Fuji is perfect for cycling. This course is a leisurely ride through the relatively high Asagiri Highland, and is possible even on a mamachari*. Why not enjoy the foothills majestic Mt. Fuji?

*Mamachari are japanese utility bicycles used by families for tasks such as shuttling children to daycare or carrying groceries home.
