Mt. Omuro

  • Mt. Omuro

A gentle mountain like an upside-down earthenware mortar, one of the volcanic mountains on the side of Amagi Mountains, covered with mountain grasses with a crater of 300 meters in diameter and 70 meters in depth. You can take the climbing lift at the foot of the mountain to find panoramic views of Izu Seven Islands, Mt.Fuji, Hakone and Amagi Mountains. Izu Shaboten Park and Sakura no Sato around Mt.Omuro are also popular among tourists. In Feb, basically on the second Sunday, the traditional event “Yamayaki” is held to burn out the mountain.
